Introducing Herbert Hall

In 2007, Herbert Hall's great grandson, the winemaker Nicholas Hall, chose Herbert’s original farming site in the village of Marden, Kent to plant a vineyard with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes.

Herbert Hall

Today, Nicholas continues in the spirit of his great grandfather at Herbert Hall, working with fellow winemaker Kirsty Smith to produce vintage wines of exceptional quality by allowing the grapes to tell them what to make each year from the small family-owned estate. With their collection sold in Fortnum & Mason, a sparkling Rosé created exclusively for Highgrove and many excellent articles written about their wine such as in The Wall Street Journal and GQ Magazine, it’s hard not to fall in love with not only their wine, but their hospitality and hand-made approach.
